ABOUT ME

Being creative is what I love to do. Whether it is acting under a spotlight, creating a story with pen and paper, or even editing videos for my YouTube channel, I love to create. I am currently a Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion intern for Disney Television Animation Studios.

I graduated in 2019 from my HBCU, Delaware State University with a background in journalism, digital media productions, writing, and theatre. I am proud to say I am pursuing my MA in TV/Film Production at Savannah College of Art & Design with an emphasis on screenplay and acting.

I have had multiple internships throughout my collegiate years which have allowed me to travel around the country and have helped me learn much about what I am passionate about. In 2018, I had an internship with the Dover Post, a newspaper in Delaware. There, I had the opportunity to find local stories while going out with reporters and have the chance to provide insight for upcoming stories. I also served as a multimedia intern for Her Campus for two years. I was able to oversee writings by other young, female writers, serve as the social media coordinator and edit all articles. In 2018, I was able to intern in Los Angeles for the Broadway Musical Theatre Intensive Co. and have a hand in helping actors and actresses find jobs and I had another internship that same summer in Reno, Nevada is where I was able to see how news stations operate at Sinclair Broadcast Group. This was where I was able to shadow anchors, go in to the field with reporters, and have my own written words scripted for live television. This past summer, I kept my hands busy with an internship with EICOP's HBCU in LA Program, an organization created for cohorts to learn from and work with large entertainment corporations.

In my free time, I express myself on and off stage. I have had the opportunity to have roles in various plays and help out backstage with productions, props, and lights. I have served as a production assistant for short films. I also write my own scripts and monologues.

Multiple organizations and societies have also helped develop me in to the diverse, multi-talented woman that I am today. I am a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, the National Association of Black Journalists, National Association of the Advancement for Colored People, Alpha Psi Omega; the National Theatre Honor Society, and the National Honor Society of Leadership and Success.
